Market Access Day - EU Commission and Swedish Industry on Trade

During the Swedish EU Presidency, the European Commission, the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the National Board of Trade Sweden and the West Sweden Chamber of Commerce will organize a Market Access Day in Gothenburg for Swedish companies. Take this unique opportunity to meet up with EU and Swedish experts and policy makers on international trade and market access.

The Chief Trade Enforcement Officer at the Directorate-General for Trade of the European Commission, Mr. Denis Redonnet, will present the EU’s work and priorities on trade barriers. Moreover, you will be reminded of the many existing trade policy tools available to professionals, such as the Access2Markets information portal, the Single Entry Point (SEP) to report trade barriers and the rules of origin self-assessment tool.

The USA and India will be in focus for a panel discussion, made up of EU market experts and major Swedish companies, while a discussion on other countries will be possible as well. The US is the most important market for Swedish sales abroad and we will discuss the challenges to be addressed, such as the Inflation Reduction Act, IRA, as well as the status of a future trade agreements.
