Are you moving to Sweden?

Have you got an employment and are planning for the move? Congratulations! Moving to a new country can be a challenging but rewarding experience. There are many things to take care of, both before and after the move to your new "home away from home". These are just a few examples:

  • Gather official documentation about your civil status: birth certificates, work certificates, school records in original
  • Renew your driver's license if necessary. Review information on it's validity in Sweden
  • Arrange for selling/renting/housekeeping of your property
  • Look for housing at the new location
  • After arrival in Sweden; visit the Swedish Tax Office for civil registration and to obtain a Swedish personal ID number
  • Establish a Swedish bank account

Does it sound complicated? It doesn't have to be. The Chamber of Commerce Relocation Service would love to help out to make sure that your move to Sweden becomes as smooth as possible.
