Västerås International Art Fair 2021

WELCOME TO ART & INNOVATION CITY, VÄSTERÅS

Västerås International Art Fair is born to build and establish a vibrant platform in our city and long-term relations with artists, galleries, art organizations, and collectors worldwide, through presenting high-quality and diversity of different media in an actual and virtual space which allows a large number of people to visit our fair and learn about what our city is offering.

We are always focused on presenting contemporary art on an international level and putting Västerås on the art map, we are working actively with artists, designers, art consultants, and galleries to create a unique and well-blended collection that we proudly offer to our collectors and visitors.

We are happy to represent well-established artists this year as Amador Montes, Steve Jensen, Francesca Falli, and at the same time opening the doors to many highly talented local and foreign artists.

Rebecca Charlez’s significant expression is monochrome and sculptural. The pieces are created with tactility and versatile textures in multiple layers. With cracks and marks from the hand that created them, She is letting the pieces emerge throughout the process, encouraging them to become their natural form.
The artist was born in Varberg on the Swedish west coast and started her artistic career in graphic design. She discovered art from a young age as her father worked at an art museum. Her artistic expression platform is cross-border, along with painting Rebecca works with both music and photography.

Letizia Prestipino is an Italian visual artist based in Milan. After spending her Education in Berlin, where she studied Fine Arts at Universität der Kunste Berlin, she graduated with a MA in Painting at Brera Academy in Milan, Italy where she currently lives and works. Her craving for painting lives in the gesture. The gesture takes shape in the concept of the body, which means also matter. A body that drinks light and fades in space. Those two elements are both researched in the work. Light is what allows vision and permits us to recognize different places and bodies in space, so light and body are spaceLight is what allows vision and permits us to recognize different places and bodies in space, so light and body in space.
